SETL Limited
SETL is an initiative aimed at implementing a multi-asset, multi-currency institutional payment and settlement infrastructure powered by blockchain technology. The SETL system allows market participants to transfer cash and assets directly between each other, enabling the immediate and final settlement of transactions. It utilizes a permissioned distributed ledger to record ownership and transaction data, streamlining processes such as matching, settlement, custody, registration, and transaction reporting.
On February 18, 2018, SETL announced that Citi and Credit Agricole had both acquired stakes in the company. Additionally, Computershare increased its investment, and Stuart Irving, CEO of Computershare, joined SETL’s board.
