Bitcoin Approaches $98K as Eric Trump Urges World Liberty Financial to Invest in Bitcoin

Eric Trump Pushes for Bitcoin Investment, Leading to Surge Above $98K

Bitcoin (BTC) surged past $98,000 during Thursday’s Asian trading session after Eric Trump, the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, publicly encouraged a family-backed crypto platform to invest in the cryptocurrency.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Eric Trump shared, “Feels like a great time to enter BTC, @worldlibertyfi,” at 1:41 UTC. Following the tweet, BTC prices quickly jumped from $96,900 to $97,830. The CME micro futures also crossed the $98,000 threshold, according to TradingView data.

Earlier in the week, David Sacks, who serves as the Trump administration’s AI and crypto czar, mentioned that the administration was evaluating the potential of establishing a strategic bitcoin reserve. However, his statement left some crypto investors disappointed, as many were hoping for a quicker resolution on the matter.
